The greatest joy of photography is being able to build relationships with amazing people through capturing the big moments in their lives. The first time I ever had the privilege of creating images for Matt and Bridget, was when I did Bridget's maternity photos at Red Rocks in Morrison. Since then I have been able to capture newborn and birthday photos of their son as well as extended family portraits. Most recently, we spent an afternoon exploring Dillon to take their engagement photos. Over the years I've been able to watch their family grow, as I have grown closer to them myself.

I loved being able to focus completely on capturing Matt and Bridget's love for one another since they have such a beautiful relationship. It's also such a fun time shooting with these two. While we were shooting at North Tenmile Creek Trail, Matt and I each slipped on the ice and had we all had to take moment to relax after laughing so hard. While I admire Matt and Bridget for a handful of reasons, it is their sense of humor and ability to make any moment fun that I love the most about them.

After taking photos at the trailhead, we ventured into Dillon to wrap up their session at the Ice Castles. This is my second year coming to the Ice Castles and they are still one of my favorite locations for photos in the winter. We got to the castles about 45 minutes before sunset which have us the most amazing light! It truly felt like we were in a fairytale.

It is so magical to be able to grow as a photographer as your favorite clients grow into each chapter of their lives. I'm even more lucky to experience this with the funniest and warmest couples I know.
